New FFXIV Scrips and Tomestones Will Appear in Endwalker

A new Final Fantasy XIV expansion means the usual warning to use your scrips and tomestones while you have them. Square Enix issued the typical alert that when FFXIV Endwalker arrives, it will mean scrips and tomestones and the end of older ones being applicable. People have until the 6.0 maintenance to use them. Which means to be safe, it’d be a good idea to be sure you use them before November 19, 2021.

The FFXIV scrips that will be on the way out are Red Crafters’ and Gatherers’ Scrips and Yellow Crafters’ and Gatherers’ Scrips. White scrips will remain. In the case of yellow ones, after FFXIV Endwalker, you’ll be able to swap them for white ones at scrip exchanges. People can also head to an exchange to swap red for yellow ones and exchange for items. There will be a new Crafters’ Scrip and Gatherers’ Scrip. As is common, they’ll involve the new level 90 cap.

As for the FFXIV tomestones, Allagan Tomestones of Allegory, Phantasmagoria, and Revelation are on the way out. Allagan Tomestones of Poetics will remain. Duties and trials after FFXIV Endwalker will offer Allagan Tomestones of Poetics or one of two other kinds after the update. Though one new tomestone will also require people to hit the level 90 cap with a job. Square Enix also said to exchange all Allagan Tomestones of Phantasmagoria for ones of Allegory before maintenance, as the latter can still be swapped for Poetics after the update.

This is a commonplace occurrence for FFXIV. For example, when FFXIV Shadowbringers appeared, the Allagan Tomestones of Creation, Genesis, and Mendacity and the Red Crafters’ Scrips, Red Gatherers’ Scrips, Blue Crafters’ Scrips, and Blue Gatherers’ Scrips all went away. People wouldn’t be able to get them or exchange them. Some also ended up removed from people’s inventories as well.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFXIV Endwalker will launch on November 23, 2021, though pre-ordering grants people early access on November 19, 2021.
