New Key Visual and Trailer Released For Knights of the Zodiac Movie

Toei released the first key visual for the upcoming Knights of the Zodiac movie on its official webpage. The visual shows the back of a man while a stone statue breaks apart in the distance. Its tagline is “Surpass destiny.” There is also a trailer for the movie that you can watch from the Toei YouTube channel.

Knights of the Zodiac will be a Hollywood movie adaptation of the Saint Seiya manga. The show originally came out in 1986, and has been a highly influential work for both domestic and international fans. Mackenyu (Chihayafuru) will portray protagonist Seiya. Other cast members include Madison Iseman (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings), and Famke Janssen (GoldenEye).

As for the crew, Tomasz Baginski (The Witcher) is the director. Andy Cheng (Rush Hour 2) is the action director, and Matt Stuecken and Josh Campbell (10 Cloverfield Lane) wrote the screenplay. In a comment on the website, Mackenyu stated that he is touched and surprised that he got to participate in a Saint Seiya work, due to its global popularity. He is also excited that this would be his first main role in a Hollywood film,. He put his all into portraying Seiya.

Knights of the Zodiac will appear some time in 2023.
