NIS America is going charitable for its virtual Red Moon Day 2020 celebration. Typically, the company holds a Red Moon Day gathering at each Anime Expo in July. The fifth one was supposed to be held at Anime Expo 2020. While it has been canceled, the Red Moon Day Prinny shirt tradition will go on virtually, with the new design available from May 18 through July 31, 2020. This time, it’s charitable.
The Prinny Shirt for the Red Moon Day was revealed via the NIS America blog. The completely red shirt has five Prinnies sitting on the ground, surrounded by souls. The moon is overhead with the slogan, “Together in Spirit” on it. It is $19.99 through the NIS America Online Store.
This year, all money from the shirt will go to the American Red Cross. NIS America also encouraged people to donate blood this Red Moon Day. The organization has been asking people to donate blood, platelets, or plasma. (As its website notes, plasma from people who have recovered from COVID-19 will have antibodies in it.)
This is the first Red Moon Day Prinny shirt so far that hasn’t actually said “Red Moon Day” on it. The past designs have had the Prinnies, the moon, and the day noted on them. The 2019 shirt also had Disgaea 4’s Valvatorez on it too.
The Red Moon Day Charity Fundraiser 2020 shirt will be available until July 31, 2020.
