Kotobukiya revealed new 1/72-scale plamodels of the A.I.S Vega from Phantasy Star Online 2. The model kits will be available in October 2021. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
There will be two types of model kits available. The first one will feature the complete mech with a price tag of 8,800 yen (~$80). The second one will only include the additional unit parts with a lower price at 3,300 yen (~$30). You can use the latter parts for any other model kits, including Mecha Musume models.
Each package will also come with a serial code that players can input to obtain bonus items in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. The parts-only package will have a different set of rewards from the full set. Kotobukiya did not specify the exact details for these bonus items.
The A.I.S Vega is a new version of the ARKS Interception Silhouette mech introduced in the sixth episode of Phantasy Star Online 2. It allows players to fight in space battles at certain points in the episode.
Kotobukiya also had its Frame Arms and Frame Arms Girl model kit lineups featured in the online game through an AC Scratch Ticket collection. The latter was available on the global server from December 2020 to January 2021.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is immediately available on PCs worldwide. It is also available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. Meanwhile, the global version supports the Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Sega has just launched Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis with a Rocket Start campaign giving rewards to avid players of the game.
