Project GG hint

Project G.G.’s Release Date Might Hint Towards What the Game’s All About

Platinum Games has been secretive about, well, everything regarding Project G.G. aside from the teaser trailer earlier this week, but it seems that the release date is being kept secret for a more specific reason – that it might hint towards the game’s core premise.

In an interview with IGN Japan earlier this week, Project G.G. producer Atsushi Inaba stated, “If we were to say too much about the timing of release, it would partially touch upon the core of the game, so you can take that as sort of a hint for Project GG.”

Inaba further added, “If possible, I don’t want players to wait too long, but we’ve got a long “criminal record”, so… Even if we feel that way, we don’t know if we’ll be able to make that a reality.” That said, he says it’s not a long-term project that will take as long as three years before releasing.

Currently, we only know that Project G.G. is based off the ‘giant hero’ tokusatsu sub-genre, which caps off an informal ‘trilogy’ of toku-inspired Kamiya-directed games that include Viewtiful Joe and Wonderful 101. In an interview with Famitsu, Inaba stated that he wants to launch the game on all available platforms.

Project G.G. is currently in development.
