Resident Evil 7 Deals: Free Games and 20% Discounts

0

Update: the 10 free games offer from GMG is noe expired as the game is now released.

We’re just hours away from the release of Resident Evil 7. If you’re convinced to pre-order by the promising early bird reviews and want the bonus DLC packs as well, there are a few places to look first for some sweet Resident Evil 7 deals.

If you’re a PC gamer, you ought to head over to either GamesPlanet or GMG. GMG has a straight up 20% savings, reducing the price from $59.99 to $47.99. That’s solid off the bat, but at GMG, you also get a retailer bonus of 10 free Steam key games.

If you want the largest possible discount on the PC  head over to GamesPlanet. There you’ll find Resident Evil 7 slashed to £31.99 (British Pounds). Since the key is global with no region restriction, you can still buy in the US, which after currency conversion will come out to about $40. Both deals of course work in Europe as well in their respective currency. Keys are sent out immediately, so you can take advantage of the pre-load period still available before the game goes live (24GB after installation).

On console, you’re not quite as lucky on catch-free discounts. You can get 20% off at Amazon and Best Buy, but you’ll need to be a paid member of either Amazon’s Prime or Best Buy’s Gamers Club Unlocked programs. GCU is only $30 and gets you 20% off pre-order and new games for 2 years, while Amazon’s Prime is $100 and gets you free 2-day shipping plus 20% off pre-order and new games. If you’re dead set on Resident Evil 7 for release week/day 1 gaming – opting in to either GCU or Amazon Prime may be a good idea as we have quite a number of titles coming out later this year – not to mention a brand new platform in the Nintendo Switch (titles for the new console is now available on both Amazon and Best Buy – both of which are offering 20% off on all games).
