While XSEED Games hasn’t confirmed a Rune Factory 4 Special release date for North America, a product listing has gone live on the European eShop offering a potential date for when Marvelous Europe Limited will release the port. According to the page, it will show up on February 28, 2020 and cost £32.99. It will also offer a preorder incentive that gives everyone swimsuits. This comes after information in December 2019 suggested a February 2020 launch window for the title.
The Rune Factory 4 Special preorder bonus is called Swimsuit Day. When this add-on is applied, a player could choose to have every major character go around in a swimsuit. (This includes their avatars Lest and Frey.) This is the same DLC that comes with the Rune Factory 4 Special Archival Edition.

Rune Factory 4 is immediately available for the Nintendo 3DS. If the Nintendo Switch European eShop listing is accurate, it will arrive on the system on February 28, 2020. Rune Factory 4 Special is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. People who purchase and play it will unlock save data bonuses in the upcoming Rune Factory 5.
