Scarlet Nexus is Bandai Namco’s latest action-RPG, which is going to be a “brain punk” sort of game. Now that the company is starting to elaborate on what it will involve, it has started introducing members of its cast. First up is Scarlet Nexus’ Yuito Sumeragi. He’s the protagonist who has been showcased in all gameplay footage so far.

Yuito Sumeragi
Service Record Status: New Recruit
Background: Second son of the Sumeragi family, founders of New Himuka. Described as a bright and positive-minded boy with a resilient mind, Yuito joined the Other Suppression Force after being saved from an Other attack.
The Sumeragi are one of New Himuka’s most prestigious families. His father leads the current government while his older brother serves as a bureaucrat for the OSF
Ability: Psychokinesis
During his training Yuito Sumeragi has demonstrated the ability to quickly read a battlefield, and adapt his Psychokinesis powers to subdue the threat of nearby Others.
It is unknown if his psychokinesis power is connected to his strong desires to help others or if his powers come from his family’s long history.
A number of new screenshots showing Yuito in action were also shared alongside his official “OSF File” online. Most of them are “action” shots.
Given that some of the early screenshots appear to show other OSF members as well, it might be wise to keep an eye on the official Scarlet Nexus Twitter account for more details about Yuito’s various coworkers. At the moment, only he has been shown and confirmed as a playable character.
Scarlet Nexus is in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PCs. In case you missed it, a new gameplay trailer was released during the IGN Summer of Gaming 2020 event.
