Sit on Gengar With This Big Pokemon Armchair

Cellutane is selling an armchair of the Pokemon Gengar on its online store. While it lists the item as a Gengar “sofa,” it is only big enough to fit one person . The Gengar armchair costs 25,990 JPY, which is approximately $226. Also note that Cellutane does not deliver overseas. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The Gengar armchair contains urethane and microbeads. That means that the chair will feel closer to a beanbag than a typical cushion when you sit on it. The backrest of the chair features Gengar’s iconic mischievous face. There are also several protrusions to resemble its ears and spikes. You can see similar spikes on the back of the chair as well. Other pieces of Pokemon furniture released by Cellutane in the past are a Snorlax armchair, a Ditto armchair, and a Poke Ball ottoman.

Speaking of Gengar, though the Gastly evolutionary line appeared in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, there is no information on their appearances in the upcoming remakes. However, Nintendo has recently released a trailer for the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes, showing off the new Pokemon Hideaways feature, Ramanas Park, and free legendary Pokemon.

The Pokemon Gengar armchair is currently available online in Japan. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will appear on the Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 19, 2021.
