Starwing Paradox is a 2018 mecha action game with its characters designed by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto of Evangelion and .hack fame. The core gameplay system features 8v8 multiplayer team battles. However, after the game’s online services are shut down in October 2021, the online multiplayer battles and user accounts will no longer be available. Only the offline trial mode will remain playable.

Square Enix has not released a new arcade game since 2019. The company has also been gradually shutting down its arcade games, such as Dissidia and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. It will also shut down Love Live! School Idol Festival ~After School Activity~ Next Stage on October 1, 2021.

As of this writing, Million Arthur: Arcana Blood is the only Square Enix-run arcade game still to have an active network connection for the foreseeable future. However, the company is also gradually phasing out support for its last intact arcade game. It has just shut down a website dedicated to the arcade version players on August 31, 2021. The fighting game is also available on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.

Starwing Paradox is officially available in Japanese arcades until October 31, 2021.
