The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Switch, PS4, and PC Versions Heading West

An epic and ongoing story is coming to an end. NIS America has confirmed the worldwide release windows for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV. Yes, that is release windows, because it is coming to three different platforms at different times. The Trails of Cold Steel IV PlayStation 4 version will show up in North America and Europe in Fall 2020. Then, after about a year, entirely new Nintendo Switch and PC ports will debut in 2021. [Thanks, Game Informer!]

The reveal was accompanied by the announcement of Trails of Cold Steel IV PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch standard and limited editions. If someone just buys the base game, they will also get the Echoes of Erebonia soundtrack (physical for PS4 and digital for Switch) and a Echoes of Erebonia art book pamphlet. If someone wants more, $99.99 Limited Editions will be available through the NIS America Online Store. Think of it as an upgrade. There’s an Ashen Awakener SteelBook case, seven art cards featuring some of the main characters, and a Daybreak cloth poster. In addition, it sort of upgrades the standard edition’s art book and soundtrack by giving people The Complete Black Records art book and Twilight Resonance soundtrack CD.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will come to the PlayStation 4 worldwide in Fall 2020, then to the Nintendo Switch and PC worldwide sometime in 2021. It is immediately available on the PlayStation 4 in Japan.
