The Wonderful 101 Remastered Physical Copies Delayed by COVID-19 [Update]

It turns out a pandemic can get in the way of a hero. PlatinumGames has announced a delay for The Wonderful 101 Remastered physical copies due to head out to backers via Kickstarter. They will be delayed. However, digital copies of the game will be sent out to backers who qualify for them on May 7, 2020. In addition, those expecting physical copies will get a bonus to enjoy while they wait. [Thanks, GoNintendo!]

The new release window estimate for the North American and European The Wonderful 101 Remastered physical copies is sometime in late June 2020. PlatinumGames explicitly noted that this would be a consequence of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. However, everyone who is due a physical copy will also get a Steam code for the PC version to play while they wait. (This is a free bonus to make up for the delay.)

The Wonderful 101 Remastered retail copies have also been hit by a delay. In North America, people will now see Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 copies on June 30, 2020. In Europe, they will appear on July 3, 2020. Update: The physical Japanese versions will still appear on June 11, 2020.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered backer digital copies will go out on May 7, 2020. The official launch date is May 19, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC game. Europe will get it digitally on May 22, 2020. Japan will get it digitally on June 11, 2020.
