Splatoon 3 Amiibo

Three New Splatoon 3 Amiibo Are Releasing in November

Nintendo announced three new Splatoon 3 amiibo are launching on November 11, 2022. A lottery for pre-orders on the new amiibo is already open for residents of Japan. There are currently no pre-orders available for international buyers. Each amiibo will cost 1,980 yen (about $13) or 5,940 yen ($40) for a pack containing all three. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The three new amiibo figures are the yellow Octoling, blue Inkling, and Smallfry. The announcement trailer for the amiibo indicates that each figure will allow users to bring the characters into the game, as well as take photos with them. Furthermore, users will eventually gain access to amiibo-compatible outfits and gear once they are released.

The announcement trailer teases several new cosmetics that will be available to each amiibo. Some of these appear to be a post-apocalypse-styled leather duster, a headgear piece that puts a fishbone in the player character’s mouth, and some rope sandals. Others look similar to judogi and a headband, as well as a Mad Max-style plate helmet and armor set that mimics the design of Salmonids.

In addition to taking photos, players can also store their equipment loadouts and preferences on their amiibo. This allows players to immediately access their loadouts on other consoles by holding the amiibo next to the device.

Splatoon 3 is available on the Nintendo Switch. The new Splatoon 3 amiibo will be available to purchase on November 11, 2022.
