Level-5 announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: Wai-Wai Gakuen Seikatsu will release in Japan on August 13, 2020. The PlayStation 4 version will also release sometime soon.
Here’s a look at a new TV spot for Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y for Switch:
As previously detailed, the game is described as a school life RPG set in “Y Academy”, a top-class Yo-kai academy. The school offers all kinds of facilities that cover everything the students need. Right outside is the Residential Area that houses students in the dormitory. You can have students participate in over 400 activities in the academy. Your job is to help the students discover their talents and a lot of it has to do with finding the right activities.
The game itself will continue to receive updates, including multiplayer mode after release. The standard version of the game will be available for 4,800 yen. A Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: DX Admission Set will be available for 6,300 yen. It will include the following DLC:
- The Popular Ones Pack 1
- The Popular Ones Pack 2
- Rare Drop Fortune Pack
- New Student Support: Speed Growth Pack
- New Student Support: Recommended Weapons Pack
Each of the above DLC will also be available for 500 yen each.
Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: Wai-Wai Gakuen Seikatsu will release for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 13, 2020. The game will also release for the PlayStation 4 soon.
