You’ll Get to Be Zangetsu in the Bloodstained Switch Port at the End of May

May kicked off with some good news. That’s when people learned that the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Zangetsu DLC was finally going to show up and give people a second character to play as on almost every platform. The thing is, while the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions had guaranteed May 7, 2020 debuts, there was only a general window for the Nintendo Switch one. Now, the official Twitter account has come forward to confirm the free Bloodstained Zangetsu Switch update will arrive before May 2020 ends. [Thanks, Twinfinite!]

Now, as a reminder, just because the Bloodstained Zangetsu Switch update will be out later this month doesn’t mean you’ll immediately be able to use him. He’s an unlockable character. If you already beat the game with Miriam and received the good ending, then you can start a new game with Zangetsu. His route is a straightforward one, as you won’t have any additional cutscenes, quests, equipment, or items along the way.

This also means the Randomizer option, which lets you adjust the crafting, enemy drops, goal, items, key items, quests, save warp rooms, and shops parameters before you generate a seed and start a new game.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
