From the maker of Mega Man in the Mushroom Kingdom comes Metroid: Wart’s Invasion. This homebrew hack, based off of the NES version of Metroid, adds in Mario enemies like flying bloopers, spinies and birdo. However, this just isn’t a tileset swap. The game’s entire map has been made into a linear adventure with little backtracking to make it more like a Mario game. If you’re a fan of Metroid or Mario download the hack here and give Metroid: Wart’s Invasion a play. Also check out more screenshots of the game below.
i got this rom hack a while ago and only started playing it recently. It is a dam good hack. you have to use a lot of bomb jumps and all your previous metroid tricks-of-the-trade to get anywhere. using the photos above as a reference, the first photo that apears on the left is the area that i am on at the moment. i am stuck there. when you arive the only way to go is down then right. i have exausted all the areas to the right. i have no where else to go as the elevator that took me to this level has dissapeared. has anyone beat this game? are you having this problem too? how do i solve this puzzle? has a walkthrough been made for this….?

A linear Metroid adventure? Nay I say!
Then again, this just satisfies the “what if ___ Nintendo character showed up in ___ Nintendo universe.”
(I am impressed at the length to homebrew will go though)
