Fishing with the DS

Marvelous Interactive has a new fishing RPG game in the works for the Nintendo DS. The latest entry in their Kawa no Nushi Tsuri series for the DS adds in touch screen fishing controls. After the lure is dropped and a fish bites players follow the fishing line with the stylus to catch the fish. Another clever idea is how Marvelous Interactive uses the top screen to show the fish underwater while the bottom screen shows the player. Fishing is just part of Senri’s (the protagonist) quest to get medicine for his ill sister. Other gameplay elements include hanging out with cute monsters and finding more places to fish.
