Wii classic controller comes bundled with Wii points

Nintendo announced the price for the classic controller in Japan, 5,000 yen ($42). Before you cry foul it’s a package deal one retro controller and 5,000 Wii points for 5,000 yen. That isn’t too bad a deal since the 100 yen equals 100 Wii points. Nintendo is pretty much giving the controller for free as long as you pay them in advance for your retro console fix.

Price for virtual console games:

NES – 500 points

Super Nintendo – 800 points

Nintendo 64 – 1,000 points

Now there’s a deal I could get behind. Not ENTIRELY sure I could spend all those points right off the bat, but with a controller in tow it’d be a lot easier. Hope they bring it stateside.
