Cooking Mama gets a clone

Success comes with imitators and Cooking Mama has one too, Léa passion cuisine. Ubisoft is releasing this for the Nintendo DS in France on August 30 and it looks strikingly similar to Cooking Mama. Edamoto Naomi no Shiawase Kitchen came out last year in Japan from MTO, who has been paying the bills by making games with San-X characters and pet care sims. The title fits their target demographic, but it’s unclear if MTO actually had success with it in Japan. Ubisoft might have better luck though since cooking games sell like hotcakes in the west. Coming up next Cooking with Cloud Strife and Mario’s Magic Chef (not really though!).
