Ace Combat 6 microtransactions take flight

If you need any proof just look at the list of character outfits in Culdcept Saga and the lengthy amount of optional content for the [email protected] So what extras can Namco Bandai sell for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation? Planes and each one costs 200 Microsoft Points ($2.50).


A pretty hefty price to pay for a Halloween themed fighter and a graphically updated plane from Ace Combat 2. On the plus side one of the planes is free so you can grab the F-16C Scarface Emblem and ignore the rest.

    I love it when a plan(e) comes together.

    At some point in the future, you’ll buy a game for $60, put it into your console, but you’ll have to buy the main character before you can start the game and then each of his companions as you progress.

    Developers: Just pack it into the game as extra unlockable content like in the old days – unlockable as when you meet certain achievements in the game.

    Are they actual planes, or just paint schemes? I remember the decals for RR 7 were free..

  • @Visionnerz – some are adjusted planes like the F-16C Type AC2 others are paint schemes like the Halloween version
