Confirmed: LittleBigPlanet arrives worldwide this Autumn

By Spencer . January 7, 2008 . 4:12pm

I just spoke with SCEA regarding LittleBigPlanet and they confirmed the title will come out Sept./Oct. around the world. After I got this information I asked about their plans for the proposed LittleBigPlanet demo. You may remember a demo was supposed to arrive on the PlayStation store last year. The status of a demo is now "to be confirmed". However, Sony is preparing a LittleBigPlanet beta in the future. More LittleBigPlanet coverage should be arriving in the middle of the night when I can sit somewhere and write about the revised level developing system.

Great news, thanks Spencer. I know this game is going to help reshape the gaming public’s view on the PS3. I can’t wait to get further details. I’d love it if the game allows one to implement some traditional RPG elements into the level design. Stuff like experience, hit points, etc.

Hopefully Sony will upload some of the new video to the Playstation store this Thursday.

But if this game ends up being another Lair..

    pobre cito.

I’m more excited for the impact that this game could have on people’s perception of video games in general. This game has potential to cast video games into a positive light and effectively reverse years of garbage and gore that have fueled – Jack Thompson just came to mind so I’ll leave it at that.

Here’s hoping that a Beta is soon to follow! ^_^
