LOL not laughing its way to retail?

I was wondering how Agetec planned on distributing LOL (aka Archime DS). Since the game requires other people to play, LOL didn’t strike me as a title retailers were lining up to place orders for. My guess was it would be a Gamestop exclusive. Chris over from Cosmos Gaming  (thanks for the tip!!) discovered LOL’s release may be even more limited.

On Agetec’s LOL page it says in blue print, “this title is available only online.” It is unclear if Agetec means in their online store only or if LOL will only be sold through online retailers. Either way it doesn’t sound like LOL is going to be an easy game to get your hands on if you’re not looking for it.

Also the US box art for LOL is unique. Agetec makes it crystal clear that LOL isn’t compatible with isolated gamers with two warnings: “multiplayer only” in the subtitle and a no single player icon on the bottom right hand corner.
