Arc System Works overhauls Guilty Gear II

Recommended Videos

In August a sizable update is being released for Guilty Gear II: Overture. The free download adds features like a Training Mode and online score attack mode. In Point Match teams of two or four players race to see who can get the most points in 15 minutes. The feature I’m most excited to see is the replay mode where players get to save videos of battles on the Xbox 360 hard drive or memory unit. Usually, updates just address balance issues. Arc System Works has those too as seen in this PDF file, but this update is something Arc System Works could have sold.

Why would Arc System Works give out all this extra content for free then? My hypothesis is everything in this update will be added in the US version of Guilty Gear II which is scheduled to come out a month later.
