Ninja Blade Trailer Shows Gameplay Outside Of Quick Time Events

On one hand Quick time events (QTEs) make action packed moments which would otherwise be cutscenes playable. On the other I don’t want Ninja Blade to be Ninja Dragon’s Lair, a ninja game that’s entirely made of QTEs. From Software’s presentation movie attempts to demonstrate other elements of Ninja Blade like using ninjutsu to shock monsters, ninja vision to slow things down, and switching to a leg sickle for lethal coffee grinders. Even after seeing this video I still think that Ninja Blade’s memorable moments are going to be the awesome moves players do by activating quick time events.

QTEs are the best, while you’re required to perform timed button press, at the same time distracted by the amazingly insane cinematics. And sometimes you just want to fail on purpose to see how the hero falls to his death :)

I have to say this game simply looks amazing. I wasn’t too big of fan of Ninja Gaiden, but this looks more like Heavenly Sword, which was an action packed breathtaking experience.

So this game is only dubbed in English even though this is a Jpn trailer? The Metal Gear Hibino composed soundtrack should add to the atmosphere too.

i was a huge ninja gaiden fan, and every action game of its ilk has paled in comparison for me. this game is looking solid though, and i did enjoy otogi despite the fact that it was considerably slower and actually felt less accessible to me than NG.
