Over 100 and they will be easier to discover compared to past Star Ocean games. Private actions are unlocked by making Edge talk with party members on the Calnus, his ship, while everyone is doing their day to day tasks. Some of these scenes can only be found at night when the characters are rooming together.
As the captain of the Calnus you assign roommates by pairing crew members. Initially, you can only match characters of the same gender, but if your affinity levels are high enough Edge can bunk with Myuria and so forth. The affinity level statistic, which measures your relationships with the various characters, is hidden like other Star Ocean games. It grows by viewing private actions, rooming together, and more generally putting them in your party. Affinity levels also affect the game’s ending.
How many endings does Star Ocean: The Last Hope have? Square Enix won’t tell us the answer to that just yet.
