Pick Up Muramasa: The Demon Blade On April 9

By Spencer . January 30, 2009 . 1:42am

Importers get ready! April 9 is when Japan gets Vanillaware’s 2D action game, Muramasa: The Demon Blade. An international release for the US and Europe has been announced, but we don’t have a concrete release date for either region. Don’t be surprised to see one soon since some US retailers are listing Muramasa: The Demon Blade for summer.

So, even if Nintendo of America slacks off with only a handful of first party games count on Marvelous to fill the gap with Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Rune Factory: Frontier, and sometime in the (possibly distant) future Little King’s Story.

I’m really, really tempted to import. I won’t though, because it’s Rising Star publishing in Europe, and they need every sale they can get.

  • Whoooo! Cannot wait for impressions of this.

nice, I’ll probably wait for XSEED to do it though, hope they are quick :)

    • Me too. I feel XSEED deserves my money on this game. ^_^

  • Can’t lie, this game is one of the reasons I’ve kept a hold on my Wii.

  • double post whoops.

  • *sigh* Impossible to hope for a port to another system? I really don’t feel like plunking down for a Wii when there’s very little on it that interests me, but I don’t want to miss out on the few gems that get put on there, either…

  • The game looks like gorgeous. I need impressions too!

  • I am really looking forward to this too, but like most have already said, I’ll be waiting for XSEED to publish it. I’m currently playing through Odin Sphere and enjoying every minute of it (though it turn out to be a bit more difficult than I thought, lol), so I’m pretty sure I will enjoy this one :D.

I would probably import this if not for damn Nintendo region locking their system, even rendering the Wii freeloader useless. I recently imported Disaster Day of Crisis and was taking my chances because I haven’t updated my Wii, I was still holding my breath when I saw the title appear on that channel, then press A, nothing. If Nintendo is so hell bent on making me get a 2nd Jpn Wii, at least have the decency to come out w/ a black one, really frustrating.

totally, I hate all this region locking too. Thats why I like ps3, no hassles I can buy a game in Japan or US without having to think about it.

black would be nice. my white wii ruins the aesthetic of my TV setup.

this game looks cool I am looking forward to picking it up.
