No Dragon Quest IX Until July

No Dragon Quest IX Until July Square Enix won’t be releasing Dragon Quest IX in Japan on March 28 as planned. A press release went out with the new release date, July 11.

 

During the testing process a number of bugs were discovered and the game had to be pushed back to fix them.

    Wow, an almost 4 month delay into 3rd quarter '09. I'm sure S-E's investors are loving that news. But the game will sell sh!t tons anyway. I wonder if S-E will work in some DSi exlxusive features in the mean time?

    I wonder if this pushes FFXIII to April 2010 or later then? Doesn't Wada have some rule about FF & DQ sequels in alternating years?

    Regarding the DSi exclusive features, that would be interesting. It would something similar to how some GBC games had extras in the GBA (Zelda Oracle series).

    I really only care because I plan to get a DSi. i'm sure a ton of people would be mad about it.

    I think the delay is because of the economy crisis its at its peack now they hope it will tone down a little by summer, game with large sales like this the hit it takes from the economy is more apparent than small games.
