I put the E, 3, and 5 in order since that makes sense, but there are two kinds of Es, an upper case one and a lower case one. Perhaps, the message is, “Kojimas Countdown Reveals... Konami will hold an E3 press conference on Monday, June 3rd at 3 PM. Ahh, more 3s. That fits with the limited alphanumeric characters. Maybe the message is, “Kojimas Countdown Reveals... A leak from 7 Eleven says the next issue of Famitsu will reveal a new Metal Gear game so we may not have to wait that long after all.

    Countdown after countdown, this is killing us, they’ve got to stop w/ the artificial suspense. Rain? Can’t be remake of MGS3 could it?! That would be welcome, but kind of soon.. like remaking RE4.

    Joystiq and Kotaku already got it, the ‘e’ is supposedly the font’s version of an ‘@’, making it 5@E3. You can assume what that means.

    I’d been noticing a lot of rumors that it’d finally be the long awaited MGS4 on 360 announcement, though with the news from the latest famitsu my hopes have been sorta shot down.

    Personally, I just think they need to realize how stupid countdowns to countdowns look. There’s such a thing as a teaser site and creating suspense, but I imagine this is generating more negative rep than positive.

    Also, (kinda tied to my first sentence) I’m hoping it’s not MGS5, or anything else brand new. Didn’t MGS4 just come out not long ago at all? It’d feel like they’re really rushing it out for the sake of it being a cash cow. =

    I’m fairly certain that, if it’s a Metal Gear title [ugh, all that talk is giving me FFVII-itis (overhyped fans killing any joy personally derived from said title)], Konami/Kojima have said it’s a PSP game. Another Portable Ops? A port of an older title?

    Otherwise, with the weather getting worse in the countdown site and the number “5″, along with the rumors of one “Tornado Outbreak”, it leads me to believe the numbers may be related to the 5 categories of tornadoes. Not sure where the “e” fits in, or the implied “@”.

    Guessing is retarded. We just have to wait a few weeks. Enjoy all the damn games that are coming out until then and get away from the ADD-riddled internet.

        Hehe, of course, but there could always be more than one game! Kojima is much more than just “that MGS guy”, after all.

    Its “E3, Sony Entertainment” This is the big announcement for the Sony booth this year. MGS:5 for 2010.

    im not sayin i don’t like MGS but i hope its not another MGS game, i wan’t this bizzar count down thing to be the next Z.O.E. game or a completely new IP
