Wild Arms 2 Saddling Up For PlayStation Network Re Release

Looks like Wild Arms 2 is following in the footsteps of Metal Gear Solid. The PsOne game was re-rated by the ESRB as a PlayStation 3 and PSP game, a good sign it’s going to pop up as a downloadable PlayStation Archives title (thanks for the tip Joel!!).

Additional PlayStation Classics are always welcome, but there are so many other awesome PsOne and PSP RPGs I doubt I’ll play Wild Arms 2 again. Will you give Wild Arms 2 a second shot?

Hell to the yes. WA2 was the best game in the whole series, so I'm fairly stoked.

    A Classic

  • Nyanyaan

I gotz it but it's one I might just pick up to keep my collection safe. A fav of mine too, and certainly underrated.

About time Sony started getting in gear with PSone releases. I guess they are spooling up for the PSP Go.

  • Vrakanox

Definately going to pick this up.

  • Nocturne

Already replayed it on my PSP a few months back. No need for this crap, I've been replaying my collection of PS1 games on my PSP for over a year now:P

  • QBasic

That's only something a pirating faggot would brag about on an honest gaming blog…

  • Nocturne

I actually take a stance not to download any games. I only rip the games I own, I never download them. Of course, you and your fucking high horsed attitude won't believe a word of that.

Though, of course the simple fact I hacked my PSP is an action befitting a pirate so you can comment on that, but don't make assumptions that I actually do pirate games.

Doesn't the change elitist attitude you have towards the issue:

“Already replayed it on my PSP a few months back. No need for this crap, I've been replaying my collection of PS1 games on my PSP for over a year now:P”

Somebody's certainly riding high on a 2-foot pony tonight.

  • Nocturne

Yep, I definitely was there. But you were too, assuming that you were above me due to the fact that you seemingly take the high road by not pirating. Too bad that assumption backfired, of course I can't back that up but then again I don't have to. Whatever, I didn't actually mean it as an elitist comment. Just pointing out how long and prevalent the scene for PS1 emulation on PSP has been around, obviously hinting at piracy, which I again take no part in. Anyway, let's not muddy up this blog with even more shit.

Only someone who was homophobic would use “faggot” as an insult.

  • Equus

I passed on it the first time around, so I'm actually all for buying it this time.

I was just looking through my PSN downloaded PS1 games yesterday and thinking… I think Wild Arms 2 might happen. Whaddaya know. I just had a feeling while looking at Wild Arms 1. Good game though, I wouldn't mind picking it up and replaying.

The REAL PS1 RPG sequel people want though, is yet to be seen. Suikoden II. Here's hoping it shows up soon.

PSN really is getting GOOD PS1 games lately though. FFVII, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Resident Evil. These truly are classics, good to see these kinds of releases.

I liked this a lot more than the first. I still have the PS1 version, but whoever doesn't have it yet should get it.
