Raiden IV Limited Edition vs. Gamestop Edition

Raiden IV Limited Edition vs. Gamestop EditionTwo packages of Raiden IV are slated to come out in September, a limited edition and a Gamestop edition.

The limited edition, which is actually the standard retail version, comes with a soundtrack CD. The Gamestop Edition also comes with a secret file — a disc with concept art, enemy data, and game strategies.

While hard to get, the secret file was released in Japan. It came with the Raiden IV: Ultimate of Raiden bundle released by INH Group.

Update: UFO Interactive sent us a note that the secret file is actually a computer file in North America. Users will be able to download the data to a computer. The disc is just for Japan.

Here’s a look at what’s inside the secret file.

Maybe it's just me, but that cover looks beautiful.

  • thaKingRocka

    i'm all over that game.

So, I have a question. Is the Gamestop Edition the retail version (the one with the OST included) plus the guide? Or does it not include the OST? Since you say “also comes with” I want to presume you mean it's all that AND the bag of chips. Just want to make sure. =)

    PAL release please?

If this actually comes out in September I swear it will be the first time UFO has released a game without delaying it 2-3 times.

    Is this Xbox only…

  • matty

    It seems that way…

  • malek86

Yeah, I wish. But chances are, we'll have to hope it's region free.

  • malek86

Yep. Like pretty much every new shmup to have come out this gen.

I really need to get around and buy a JP360. Maybe next gen, when it will be a lot cheaper.

The Gamestop edition has the OST and secret file.

  • Mr_Qoo

I've been lucky on my importing shmups. The only two I never imported for my 360 were Raiden Fighters Aces and Raiden IV. Oh sweet justice for finally not getting burned!

    Want!

I wonder how rare these would be down the road. I got the collector's edition for FF12 w/ the metal box for $60 on day 1. Later there were still tons of copies at Gamestop and they had to get rid of them at $30 or 40..

$40 is still a good deal though, if not for these exclusives I prefer to buy from Amazon or Buy.com since they usually have a slight discount.
