Samurai Warriors 3 Wages War With Zelda-Like Mode

image Koei is gearing up to release Sengoku Musou 3 (Samurai Warriors 3) on the Wii. At their press conference Shigeru Miyamoto made a surprise announcement.

Samurai Warriors 3 will have a mode based on Nazo no Murasamejo (The Mysterious Murasame Castle), a Famicom Disc System game. The title was never released outside of Japan, but it’s very similar to The Legend of Zelda — an action oriented version of Zelda starring a samurai.

No details were given about how Koei and Nintendo plan to integrate this into Samurai Warriors 3, but the addition should make Samurai Warriors 3 stand out from the sea of Warriors titles.

I wish I could buy this mode without the main game.

Super. Doesn’t change the fact that you have buy an utter crap game to get a decent one as a bonus.

Koei…plz make it downloadable or something. D:

  • This is coming the in US right????!?!?

  • delicious, i was urging to play somethin like a remake of nazo no murasamejo… since captain rainbow looks like will never make stateside this my last hope =.= i wonder if they will includes takamaru as a playable character

  • I just hope they eventually release it for at least 360. I hate the Wii and would hate to miss out on this game. But as much as I love their hack and slash, I don’t love it enough to purchase a Wii.

It’s Koei. Within six months of the Wii release, the game will be on 360, PS3, PS2 and probably PSP. Though they’ll probably drop the Nazo-mode, keeping it Wii exclusive.

Also, now that they’ve got a decent Musou engine up and running on Wii, I expect it’ll also see releases of SSM6, Gundam Musou 3, Musou Orochi 3, etc.
