image Later this month Square Enix will release Nanshi no Game: The Eye (The Game Without a Name: The Eye) on the DS. In addition to the cursed RPG from the previous game players also have to survive side scrolling levels littered with bloodstained Shinigami guillotines.

Here’s a look at some of the merciless levels you can play on August 27.

wow, talk about variations on a theme. I hope this is a cursed freeware game, because it’d be a pretty inexcusably repetitive commercial one.

Playing the cursed 8-bit game is only part of Nanashi no Game. The rest is a 1st person 3D adventure/horror game, where you hold the DS sideways to play and tap the screen to pick up items and outrun zombies. Well…thats what the first game was like so im assuming this one will play the same way.

Yeah, I pined over the first for a while, even after I heard it was a short, clumsy game. And the new system with supernatural things showing up on one screen but not the other is an interesting concept. I’m just disappointed that the only obstacles seen in the platformer so far are trick platforms and the guillotines. Some unpredictable enemies would be nice.
