Qix++ Draws Closer To Xbox Live Arcade

image Taito continues their plan of revitalizing their classics as downloadable games with Qix++. The game hasn’t been properly announced on any channel, but the ESRB has a rating and a description for an Xbox 360 version.

 

Here’s what the ESRB says about Qix++.

 

This is an action game in which players draw lines around a grid and try to avoid block-shaped creatures called “QIX.” Players’ goal is to draw the lines in such a way that they end up trapping the QIX in a small box.

 

Sounds like Qix, with the exception of “block shaped creatures”? Aren’t “QIX” lines? Perhaps, Qix++ uses polygons instead of bouncing lines.

    It could be that they’re going for a half-step approach between Qix and its successor Volfied, at least when it comes to enemy dimensions.

    Oh man, I loved playing some variation of the game on the Genesis back in the day!! (on the Sega Channel)

    I remember this way back on my C64 days. It was hard, but fun.
