While Japan will be busy with something something XIII, Square Enix has another console game to keep their fans in the West occupied. 0 Day Attack on Earth, a twin-stick shooter from Gulti, will be available on Xbox Live Arcade on December 23.

In 0 Day Attack on Earth players defend Tokyo, Paris, and New York from an onslaught of giant aliens. The game uses actual city maps so you’ll fly above sights like Tokyo Tower and the Statue of Liberty. The game has four player co-op over Xbox Live, an eight player versus mode, and customizable aircraft to play with.

Square Enix’s second Xbox 360 space shooter will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).

Hmm, I somehow think FF:CC Wii is a better substitute.

    Doesn’t look particularly interesting.

I’ve seen the videos and I thought they look pretty good, more variety than Stardust HD at least. I think I want this more than “the Last Guy” or Gyromancer.

So if you’re not neck deep in FFXIII on one of the days around then, you’re going to buy it and play with me. Right? Ri~ight?! Hahah

We’ll see, we’ll see.. cuz Lightning (or Fang) would be my new darling :) I just bought the black label for Mushihime-sama futari, you know how do you get to the last true boss? You need to get thru God Mode w/o dying even once! The slowdown is worse so it might be easier to dodge bullets. Still, that’s nuts, should’ve just saved the money and watched it on youtube.. at least I heard it’s easier to chain and get amber and such.. got to work on my score, I suck..

btw, you play 0 day w/ both of the analog stick, so it should be fun. Did you get Stardust HD on PSN? worth $10?

I haven’t seen Stardust HD, yet. Of course, I’ve only bought games on the PSN to support particular companies and releases even if I have the game (like Suikoden). Most of the Digital DL I get, if I even get any, is on the 360. I need to go back and try out some of those goodies on the PSN but I hope they all hit disc format sometime. I’m happy people are finally releasing disc versions of things like Konami Collections 1 & 2.

Yeah, I didn’t get a chance to really study any bullet patterns on Futari, yet. I guess I was still in DDP-mode for a while.

In case people don’t know, Gulti has some credibility in the shooter scene and probably deserves better than the “blah” first couple of comments here.

They co-developed Mamoro-kun with G.Rev, and the company is comprised of a lot of ex-Seibu Kaihatsu (Raiden, Raiden Fighters series) staff, including the core development team from those Seibu games.

Oh, it’s not a matter of credibility. It’s just that I’ve got a bit bored of twin-stick shooters.
