Quantum Theory Shoots For March Release

Quantum Theory Shoots For March Release Tecmo’s first attempt at a third person shooter is scheduled for March 25. Just like the rest of the world, Quantum Theory will be a multiplatform Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game in Japan too.

You can get the game for 7,980 yen ($89) or pick up a limited edition with an art book and soundtrack CD for 9,980 yen ($111). Pre-order either version to get a code to download a bonus weapon.

Wonder how Quantum Theory will be received in Japan… will it be favored over Gears of War, which Quantum Theory is often compared to, or will it be shunned because it’s a third person shooter? The Modern Warfare 2 sales figures suggest Japan has been quite receptive to the shooting (and we’re not talking about spaceships) game genre recently.

I can't see this being successful.

I hope this goes down like the claim of being exclusive to PS3.

This game was never intended to succeed anyways.

Im kinda tempted simply because it was made by Tecmo. Lets see

  • Silentg

Im really looking forward to this game, despite its reputation.
Ive been interested in this game for a long time now, you could go as far to say that im a fanatic about this game.

I hope the Uk gets this same bundle cause i want those bonuses!

Meh, not really interested in this anymore. When they had the game running at TGS most reported that it was choppy with a lot of glitches, so I am not to comforted that its coming out 6 months later. With the current systems 6 months is not enough time to fix things if you did not know what you were doing to begin with.

im still getting this game either way it looks fun and Bad ass…

I don't know, I'm tempted but I'm not sure why. I don't even like the style the game is aiming for and am definitely not the targeted demographic. Still, I'd like to try it out to see what Japan can do.
