Can’t wait! KoF XII had potential, looks, and a solid engine, but needed more characters and more polish. Here’s hoping that XIII delivers!

    • MisterNiwa

No K no buy for me! >:I

      Oh and Mai.

  • Xingy

SNK has delivered so solidly on the KoF games and spin-offs that I’m willing to look past XII and give them a second chance, as should anyone. Hopefully XIII delivers what XII could not. But that’s not saying much in this case, is it?

    • ndjn3979

I don’t know. The last time KOF was good was 2002 (imo). That was 8 years ago.

  • Mai will make an appearance this time. They realized their mistake. Mark my words.

I believe SNK can still make a good KoF. They have done a lot of stupid things in the past and then fixed or improved upon them in later iterations.

But I’m really worried about online play. It seems that no matter what they do they can’t get online right.

Likewise. SNK has yet to get netcode halfway decent. They really seem to see it as an afterthought. Hopefully they have figured out it can be a big selling point in Europe or the US where not everyone has a crowd of fighting game friends to play with at home or the arcade.

      • Code

I dunno why they don’t use the same netcode Blazblue uses, it’s open source.

Considering how much I loved KoF XI and the games before that, XII was kind of a letdown for me. I still have a bit of faith left in SNK to deliver a game worthy of the series’ legacy, though.

  • Kuza21

Can wait to see the improvements! I ended up selling my KOF XII. I hated the fact that it could’ve been such a good game, and it wasn’t.

  • thebanditking

Hopefully SNK have learned from their mistakes. The lack of Mai was something that bothered alot of fans but I found the games art direction to be the part that bothered me the most. Some of the characters were fatter then before, the background imagery was filled with overweight and goofy looking people and some of the designs just did not make sense with the character they were representing. Looking forward to XIII though.

I hope this would bring back the faith of many people who root on SNK for years. But personally, I would be more excited if it is HD 2D Metal Slug or Samurai Shodown.

  • urbanscholar

    Two words: K dash

  • raymk

This time i know they’ll get it right all they need is more characters and more moves. Long as they add kula i’m good oh and more stages also

  • daizyujin

Color me cautious. After the pathetic entry that was KOF XII I am going to need more than just a legacy to convince me this game is worth anything beyond a rental.

  • eliel

nice hope to c mo characters in this 12(i think) wasn’t enough….

  • Eh… after the trash known as KOF XII, if this isn’t $19.99 then it’s not being played. KOF XI was 100x more game than XII low-res and all.
