Capcom set a date, make that dates, for Final Fight: Double Impact. The downloadable double feature includes Final Fight and Magic Sword, two Capcom arcade games fine tuned with GGPO netcode and drop-in online co-op.

Hoping to re-create the arcade experience at home, Capcom made a bunch of fancy filters including one that simulates an arcade monitor. Both games also feature a remixed soundtrack and voice chat.

Final Fight: Double Impact jabs Xbox Live Arcade on April 14 and hooks PlayStation Network on April 15. The game costs 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 real dollars, respectively.

That sounds hella nice. Go Capcom.

Ah nice the price is perfect. I was hopeful they wouldn’t go the $15 route which is a little high IMHO.

Lets Capcom consider other some other BIG hits and LITTLE known games from their arcade heritage that they can bring to XBOX LIVE and PSN such as Battle Circuit, Armored Warriors, Forgotton Worlds, Three Wonders and *cough* Strider!

And bring acheivement/trophies support too, so then we old skool gamers can show off on our friends list against new gen players!

  • Sweeeet! $10/800 points is what I was hoping for! This looks so awesome… I love the virtual arcade room setup… (i.e. the menus!) I hope Capcom brings some more 2 packs like this to the XBLA! Also, I really like the arcade cabinet filter… haha!
