Indie developer Akaoni’s Cabal-inspired run & gun shooter, Zombie Panic in Wonderland is finally confirmed for a North American WiiWare release. It’s coming this May 3rd for 1,000 Wii points — which is a whole $2 less than Sin & Punishment. Considering Zombie Panic has co-op play, that’s a pretty good deal.

In case you missed it the first time around, here’s a link to our interview with Akaoni on the development of the game.

    Dang, I haven’t even picked up MM10 or Cave Story yet! I’m going to have to go on a WiiWare shopping spree this weekend!

    I can’t wait. This was also funny – at their official site they have one of the best intros I’ve ever seen:

    I like the patriotic bikini on Snow White, too

    I wish it was a DS game or PSP Mini or XBLA/PSN. I’m too lazy to boot up my Wii and buy points. Ever. <_< But it's so cute. ;-;

    I got it three weeks ago, and while it’s ok, it has one flaw. The game seems like it would be better with the Zapper (I’ve tried, and it is), but you can’t use grenades that way, because they are tied to the A button. I’m not sure whether this was an oversight by the developer, or if they simply thought it should have been played with the remote. Not that grenades are particularly useful,but still. If it were just a matter of keys, they could have tied them, for example, to the simultaneous press of the Z and B buttons.

    Aside from that, it’s a nice little game. And I especially like the character design.

      Hm, one possible solution…(though I doubt it’s worth it for just one game) would be the Nyko Wand controller and it’s special gun shell. It’s fantastic (easily the best) if you like playing on rails shooters and things. Besides having rumble in the handle of the gun itself, there’s a button that acts as the A button (where you cock the gun). Also, a switch on the bottom can switch the function of this button and the trigger (which is normally the B button).
