How Radiant Historia Keeps Track Of Time Travel

By Spencer . August 2, 2010 . 4:43am

imageRadiant Historia follows Stock as visits parallel worlds and he travels through time to prevent a tragedy. When you go backwards then forwards alternate timelines are created and Radiant Historia has a handy chart that keeps track of them.

Radiant Historia has a point and click world map too. After you select a location Radiant Historia switches to an open field that Stock can run around in. Enemies are visible and appear to react to player characters. If you run into one the game shifts into battle mode where allies and enemies are placed on a three-by-three grid.

This sounds pretty cool. A kind of a update to the Chrono trigger/cross time travel formula. Hope it get’s localised.

It’s an Atlus game, of course it’ll be localized. If there’s one company you can rely on where localization is concerned, it’s them.

      • Serge73

Didn’t Atlus make some sort of comment about limiting the number of DS games they’d be bringing over though?

That being said, I really want this to be localized. Sometimes some of the best RPG’s come out at the end of a gen…

If they did, I never saw it. Even if they did say something like that, my guess is that they were mostly referring to publishing games by other companies; they’re publishing this game themselves, which I would imagine puts it much higher on the priority list, as far as localization and profits in general are concerned, than another company’s game.

I hope so, because this game is sounding more and more awesome every time I read about it!!

Square Enix, take note. It would’ve been nice if Chrono Cross had something like this, if only for the purpose of making the last several hours of the plot easier to follow.

Also, this sounds an awful lot like the kind of system that has long been expected out of the ill-fated third Chrono game.

  • Jaxx-Leviathan

That’s really interesting. Alternate timelines… sounds pretty ambicious, hope they go all out on that concept and make it something to remember akin to Chrono Trigger’s system.

  • ATLUS localize this D: and dont forget about luminous arc 3 T_T
