Survey Says Japan Is Excited For Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Metal Gear Solid On 3DSGaming website 4gamer conducted a massive survey and received 21,810 responses. One of the questions is which Nintendo 3DS titles they are looking forward to.

Even though they weren’t shown at E3, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest topped the list. The order is a little unexpected since Final Fantasy beat out Dragon Quest. The first Nintendo title is The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, which is the fourth title just underneath the Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D tech demo.

Atlus titles like the Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey games ranked pretty high for 4gamer’s readers. Those series beat out Kingdom Hearts 3D and Gundam. Wow.

I’m sure they’re just as sick as I am of all the damn Kingdom Hearts spinoffs.

    Yay for megaten.

I just wish none of these games becomes vaporware especially Persona, SMT and Etrian Odyssey

    Paper Mario needs more love.

I’m not even getting 3DS before it launches. Hopefully DQ and the MegaTen games aren’t years behind it.

No surprise here. Kinda sucks that every time a new system comes out, you get that usual slew of ports. Let’s be honest, MGS on the 3DS probably won’t be anything extraordinary. There’s always that chance we could get a “Ghost Babel,” but with the way the industry runs these days, a port is most likely. Although, an upgraded port of Snatcher is something I’d buy TWICE.

Imagine, upgraded Snatcher/Policenauts on one cartridge.

    I’d buy it FIVE times!

One to display, one to play with, one to hermetically seal, and the other two as backups?

I want a Racing Lagoon RPG sequel and Tobal 3 and The Bouncer 2

Oh, Policenauts too, you’re right! Good thinking.

SEE! SEE! Square have made a major mistake. Give the people what they want.

The date I purchase the 3DS will most likely be dependent upon the (English) release dates for EO, Paper Mario and/or DQ. If I can actually see the 3D on this thing (not counting on that though) dungeon crawling in first person will be SO RAD.

…You guys better have WPA2 support for wireless this time, Nintendo. There is no excuse for it not being in the DS, honestly.

Dragon Quest isnt high because they are expecting DQ10 to be out for a console, and i expect that as well >=D

Yeah….it would be kind of hard to obtain a 3DS before it launches, don’t you think? XD

I don’t think it’s because people are sick of the Kingdom Hearts spin-offs, I think it’s just because the likes of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, MGS and Zelda are very big names in Japan. Then again so is Kingdom Hearts, but as sales have shown KH sells more in the US than anywhere else.

If the Ocarina of time 3D Remake had extra content – like a new temple/dungeon, i’d buy the 3DS on launch.

The thoughts mentioned here of a Paper Mario on 3DS… well, done well, that would be amazing.
