The Models Used To Make Gun Loco’s Loony Jailbirds

Gun Loco’s cast of cartoony criminals aren’t based on sketches or motion capture data. Square Enix hired Brothersworker to craft figures, which were digitally scanned to create the game’s characters.

These are some of the models Brothersworker made…

Gun Loco’s gameplay looks just as bizarre as the man with the rabbit head. Square Enix calls the game a sprint action shooter, a description that matches the trailer fairly well. Tokyo Game Show attendees will get a chance to try out Gun Loco next week. The game is slated for release in 2011 on Xbox 360.

I love Gun Loco’s visuals, but I’m confused on what type of game this is. I feel Square-Enix failed to explain this game properly. Maybe you can clear this up Spencer (Maybe after TGS), is Gun Loco a shooter/racing game like The Club or is this like a competitive multiplayer type game like Unreal Tournament? Is there even an SP mode in the game?

This reminded me that the singing competition starts today, so I checked out the song for the competition and I gotta say it’s an… interesting one.
