Dead Rising 2: Case West Has Zombie Slaying Co-Op With Frank West As Player Two

By Spencer . September 15, 2010 . 7:09am

Frank West and Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene are together at last in Dead Rising 2: Case West. This epilogue episode lets players use both Dead Rising heroes at the same time. That’s right there’s co-op play.

Just like Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, a prologue to Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case West is a downloadable Xbox 360 game.

It does not pay to be a PS3-only owner.

      Last Guardian…’nuff said.

Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Demon’s Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 1 and 2, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Mobile Suit Gundam Field Record 0081, Siren Blood Curse, etc. There are also games other people would list, but people have different tastes. LBP for example is a terrible game in my opinion solely because of how loose the gameplay is. I don’t know about you but I’m pretty satisfied about being a PS3 only owner. I’m against purchasing DLC so if I was a 360 owner I wouldn’t pick either of the DLC up regardless. Remember when PC owners got free patches for additional content? I remember that. When game companies didn’t try to nickel and dime their fanbase.

You aren’t missing that much, much like if someone was a 360-only owner.

    • I disagree, vehemently.

How many of these will there be?
I was planning on buying Case Zero, but I’ll pass on Case West if it doesn’t have split screen. I’m not going to pay for Live.

I’m starting to think I shouldn’t buy Dead Rising 2 at all and instead just wait for some Game of the Year version or other kind of re-release where they put all these cases onto a disk. Especially since they’re “360 exclusive”, and my primary platform is PS3.

“and instead just wait for some Game of the Year edition.”

We know that’s going to happen. As soon as I read the article I decided I’m going to pass the game up for now.

  • I mean, I see how this is a cool concept, but this really should have been included in the final game. I, like others, will just wait for the eventual GotY edition.

  • As a PS3 owner, I guess Capcom doesn’t want my money. I will buy this game used, if I buy it at all. There’s going to be a whole lot of games coming out for the PS3 this fall, and the money that would’ve gone towards Dead Rising 2 will happily go towards something else.
