I was just complaining moping about how Demon’s Souls was out of stock lol! All these other deals might do me one better!

  • http://twitter.com/mrchan Kelvin Chan

Can’t order from your frozen northern neighbour. Will try to take relief in awful pun in order screenshot.

  • http://twitter.com/Sukwendo Sukwendo

    Aw man, I own most of these, and the ones I don’t, I’m not interested in. ;_;

Love the screen shot, by the way.

  • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Wow, that’s a LOT of great games with irresistible price tags.

    Go get ‘em!

  • http://tristsantithesis.tumblr.com/ Tsunayoshi Sawada

Arkham Asylum has the better deal on the X360 :( I was so gonna get it for the PS3 (28.99) if it were that price!

    • neo_firenze

I was thinking the same thing – good news, Amazon has updated since earlier this morning and now the PS3 version is $14.99 just like the 360 version!

      • http://tristsantithesis.tumblr.com/ Tsunayoshi Sawada

WOW thanks for the heads-up, just ordered it!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/UberNoCrono Dennis Willis

Thanks for the post, just bought Resident Evil 5 and Strange Journey :)

  • MrRobbyM

4 heroes of light for only 15 bucks? A pretty recently released game?! I’m sure as hell taking advantage of this!

  • PrinceHeir

    Not Enough Cash Stranger…

  • RupanIII

The World Ends With You, my friend has been bugging me to pick this up for years, looks like I’ll finally do so heh

Chrono Trigger DS.. can someone refresh me on this? Any reason to upgrade from the PSX version? (aside from its load times)

    • MrRobbyM

I don’t think there’s any other reason besides portability. It works for some people, but I prefer playing it on a big screen. So it’s really what you prefer.

    • PersonaBull

I still hold that The World Ends With You was one of, if not the best game for the Nintendo DS. It was innovative, had a gripping storyline, and has practically unlimited replayability.

….dangit now I wanna play it again!

      • GamerKT

        Non mention of the soundtrack??

        • PersonaBull

I feel pretty terrible for leaving that out.

But definitely! I loved the soundtrack! Buying the songs in-game was quite enjoyable, and I loved being able to choose your own menu song, too!

          • GamerKT

Shyeah, we need effort like that in all games.

      • RupanIII

Nice! Excited to play this one after hearing so many great impressions

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aunna-Terrell/100001267508146 Aunna Terrell

I think there was like an extra dungeon or something.. gotta go look it up again.

    • https://twitter.com/#!/SplashdownTiger STiger

For Chrono Trigger DS… there’s more content that adds to the story. Namely, three additional dungeons.

    • http://www.siliconera.com Spencer

The DS version has one new ending, two new dungeons, some new equipment, and a monster battling mini-game.

One of the dungeons is like a giant fetch quest though. You literally travel back to other periods to grab things.

      • Joanna

To expand on what Spencer wrote; the new ending ties directly into Chrono Cross. Which is neat, but I don’t think it’s worth getting the game again just for one ending. Although that price and the fact that it’s portable are good reasons.

    • Aoshi00

The PSX’s long loading time was a killer, the only way I’m able to play on the TV would be digging out my SNES. Now that you mention it, I got to try playing Chrono Trigger again on my new Mario DSi XL, the screen is gigantic and looks great for Layton and Phoenix Wright (even Love Plus), the speakers are much better too, I can literally see again :) Even though I can’t connect the DS to the TV, playing it on a XL is still nice.

    • RupanIII

Thanks for all the info guys (and gal..s?) !

Sound like intriguing additions but I just stuck with TWEWY, mostly because my wallet is trembling in fear of the coming Black Friday onslaught. And also I prefer playing on a TV too, even with those PSX load times

  • speedstersonic

Lol, too bad I have every single one of those games already. >.>
    Great list though.

    • Aoshi00

Same here.. pretty much got everything I wanted alrdy, should’ve waited for KH BBS and MSG PW, I haven’t even touched those games yet (got them for $40 before w/ $10 credit), except 3D Dot Heroes, maybe I should pick that up. I think I’d get Arkham Asylum again as well, I accidentally deleted my PS3 save file and don’t feel like playing it again, if I could get achievement though…The Platinum packaging is not that bad, but this is not the GotY edition..

      • RupanIII

Heh didn’t get around to Peace Walker yet? I haven’t played in months either. I was really into the story but the controls and boss battles were kind of frustrating. I think I got stuck at the boss after you meet Huey and, after trying a bunch of times, just kind of took a break and forgot. Gotta give that a go again. I don’t regret getting the bundle tho, I’m still digging the camo PSP and I’m all set for Let Us Cling Together :D

        • Aoshi00

yea, I had the exact same problem w/ the control and difficulty, just kind of bothered by the lack of 2nd analog stick (I know I’m repeating myself..), so I was forced to put down PW after 5 hrs or so (longer than that if you count the dying and repeating). After like 2 tank bosses I just couldn’t take it anymore even though I was a huge MGS3 fan and wanted to see where the story for Big Boss was headed, though I find the comic presentation to be a little on the cheap side.. that was the Jpn ver, I just got the US ver for collection purpose. I have bought all Jpn and US ver of MGS1-4 so far, so I didn’t want to break the tradition w/ PW even though I don’t care much for it.. Tactics Ogre looks good, but I’m not good w/ strategy games, I still haven’t finished FF Tactics even to this day, I tried going at it a couple of times during the PSX days and it was too hard for me then.. I bought the PSP port just to watch the opening movie lol.. The last one I beat on the PSP was Jeanne d’Arc, loved the fiction + history.Well, I just kind of wish the video out could be displayed full screen on TV and that a longer component cable exists (I know I’m crying over spilt milk), I guess basically I’m saying PW would’ve been more appealing to me if I could play it on console. Yesterday I just tried out the DSi XL (it arrived several days ago I was waiting for the Hori screen protector in the mail and didn’t want dust to get in lol), I’m so happy w/ it, because now I could see things easily, playing on portables prove to be a bit straining on my eyes now. The text for Professor Layton are so easy to read I don’t need to squint it’s amazing.. or maybe it’s time for me to get new glasses too..

          • RupanIII

Yea I hear you on the comic/presentation.. I mean I liked it, but they were hyping it up like it was MGS5 or something, which it def didn’t feel like to me. When they tell you something is going to be ‘like MGS5′ and then the cutscenes are just comic panels – even if they look cool it’s kind of a letdown. The bigger screen must definitely help, I always end up craning my neck when I play portables lol

  • karasuKumo

The US gets such cool deals, the UK gets nothing. The in-store prices are actually rising. Saying that though MHF: Unite is pretty cheap here too. Looks like the equipment for my course will have to wait lol.

    • http://tristsantithesis.tumblr.com/ Tsunayoshi Sawada

Isnt Amazon uk doing this week of videogame deals as well?

    • Joanna

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We’re neighbours (Canada) and yet we never get these kinds of deals, not regularly at least. I have to dig for deals like these and I mean dig.

Of course, what they are charging you over there is more unfair…so I’m at least thankful that our prices are not so exaggerated.

  • gatotsu911

Tempting bargains, all. I really ought to pick up Little King’s Story while it’s still reasonably inexpensive to do so.

  • http://shinleejin.deviantart.com/ ShinRekka

    Wow I already counted 5 games I would’ve bought…..so broke this Fall argghhhh. :(

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_646SJHSYIVVDGRSNPIS3FBW2UA JamesD

I would get a couple of those but theres already too many new games coming out this year…2010 was a really good year for games. With some sequels and the 3DS coming next year, 2011 should be just as good.

  • SneakyHawk

    Crap…I REALLY wish I had some cash on my right now… ;_;

    • http://tristsantithesis.tumblr.com/ Tsunayoshi Sawada

      Amazon takes cash?

      • SneakyHawk

Nah, that’s pretty much my natural response when there’s something I want but I’m broke at the moment. :P

  • PersonaBull

Am I the only one amused at FFXIII being a “Lightning” Deal?

    • http://twitter.com/mrchan Kelvin Chan

I saw it already but I didn’t want to spell it out in my comment.

  • http://www.facebook.com/AllenSmithee Samuel Smithee Bateman

    Does this extend to Canada?!

  • JustaGenericUser

    (One month ago)
(Blow $35+ dollars on Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light)

    (See this page)

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • https://twitter.com/#!/Ojsinnerz Firo_Prochainezo

And to this day, Canada still does not get anything whatsoever.

EDIT: Besides the Monster Hunter Tri Bundle for 30 bucks, but even that doesn’t compare to these.

    • Joanna

Not only that, but we are now blocked from these sweet deals. :(Also, I never heard of Black Friday (only the historical one but not this shopping one) until Siliconera. So maybe this is a USA-only thing? That or I don’t know where I have been not to notice….

      • SolidusSnake

Black Friday is an american thing. It’s “black” because retailers begin operating “in the black” due to hordes of people starting to buy christmas presents. Knowing is half the battle.
