Namco Bandai Working On A Strategy Game Called Namco Wars? (Or Is It Namco Emblem?)

In traditional Namco Bandai fashion, the publisher filed three similar trademarks: Namco Chronicle, Namco Wars, and Namco Emblem. All of them sound like a strategy game with Namco’s character library.

Yes, Namco made something like that before, but that was a Capcom crossover. Also, Monolith Soft is no longer owned by Namco so they may not develop the title. Given the trademark Namco Wars or Namco Emblem would just be Namco characters, I presume.

Please for the love of money, they better not choose Namco Emblem, that sounds tacky…unless its some form of currency used for an online marketplace or something…

There’s an “Emblem of Gundam” strategey game by Bandai for the DS that actually plays a bit like… Fire Emblem

well at least with a fighting game it wouldn’t matter if its localized or not. Well as long as it comes out on ps3 or wii playing imports is not problem.

Well it’d be new if it was strictly a Namco thing compared to a crossover. They certainly have enough characters…
I just hope that if Klonoa comes into play at all, we can at least see his original look, and maybe even Huepow. (Why are they always so quick to forget it exists anyway?)

As long as #Namco #NamcoBandai would NOT put in popular licenses that overshadow their IPs, I’d like to get it.
Heck, I’d love to see some #Tales, #SummonNight, and #SRW #SuperRobotWars cameos, since they’ve been missing from the US gaming limelight.

Wrong. Namco made a Namco-based tRPG before called Namco Super Wars for the Wonderswan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Super_Wars There was a spiritual successor to Namco Super Wars in the form of Tales of the World: Summoner’s Lineage oh the Gameboy Advance which features Tales of Phantasia characters and a few Namco cameos. Dunno much about it otherwise since I never played it.Maybe Namco Wars would be a remake or sequel to Namco Super Wars?

Sooo..basically just a Namco x Namco then…? What’s the point? Just do another crossover title and make it for PS3, and get it over with. This way people could actually play it (you know, seeing as Namco X Capcom is region coded :P).

I really thank the translation team for doing that.. I still have Tales of Rebirth lying around waiting for a translation patch, but probably it’ll be easier to learn japanese at this point

Actually this could possibly be a remake or port of Namco Super Wars which came out for the Bandai Wonderswan Color in 2002 which was a strategy game featuring many different Namco characters.

I’m waiting for someone at Namco to wake up and have the intelligence to make a sequel to Klonoa Heroes.
