New Night of the Sacrifice Trailer Looks Creepier Than Ever

By Ishaan . January 21, 2011 . 10:27am

Marvelous’ Entertainment’s Night of the Sacrifice on Wii supports 2 players. Judging by the game’s increasingly creepy trailers, however, singleplayer might end up being the best way to go. Each new trailer is more disturbing than the one before it.

Combine that with an unorthodox Balance Board + Wii Remote control scheme, and Night of the Sacrifice sounds like one of those whacky once-in-a-system’s-lifetime experiments. Night of the Sacrifice has no release date yet, but we’re hoping someone attempts to release the quirky horror game in English.

    Spooktacular.

I´m missing TRUE horror games this gen.

      Have you played Amnesia?

      • Testsubject909

Amnesia’s largest flaw though is, one could argue, the narrative.

There’s a lot… and I mean a LOT of reading to be had.

Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing. Thankfully many of those things you can read also have voice overs and helps well with the immersion of it all.

Anyone mind translating what was being repeated? The music sounds great, I really hope this is brought over.

      生贄になるましょう
      “ikenie ni naru mashou”
      Let’s become a human sacrifice.

Well, that’s what I got. Maybe someone wants to confirm/correct this.

      • Guest

        Thank you.

      • Chippel

The line was being repeated from “Anata mo ikenie ni narimashou” (not naru) Which I would be like “Why don’t you become a sacrifice too?” From there, the line itself could be “Why don’t you become a sacrifice?” or “Let’s be sacrificed” I suppose.
(For context purposes, I’ll note that before getting cut off, he was warning the player about becoming cursed)

Reminds me of Hudson’s Calling due to the choice of colors, ghost design and the first person perspective.

The press murdered Calling for the below average graphics (hardly anyone noticed the contemporary story, randomized shock effects and expansive new game plus). I hope this one gets the fair shot it deserves.

Very nice, j-horror is always the scariest

  • http://strictlyapathy.comoj.com/ SoulArbiter

Wow. This one’s got me interested! I’ll bite. However, past horror games on the Wii weren’t all that great, but Marvelous’ Entertainment just might fix this.

  • Happy Gamer

man the repeating sounds gave me chills even more kuz i was drinking smoothie
