Get Your Music Featured In Shmusicup

By Ishaan . February 12, 2011 . 1:28pm

Tzai Entertainment’s upcoming music-based shoot-em-up, Shmusicup, will come with some free music of its own, in addition to whatever tracks you want to use from your own MP3 playlist.

While Tzai are including a few pieces of music from musicians they have on hand, they’re also putting the call out for contributions from fans who would like their music featured in the game, or aspiring musicians who wants some exposure.

If your track gets selected, your name (and website) will be featured in the game’s credits. If you’re interested, you can send contributions to the game’s official mail account at: [email protected]

  • Really? This is interesting…

Personally, I’d like to first see some more examples of a true bullethell feel with this game… The last demonstration left me more wanting then excited. Sound effects needed some tuning and also it felt a bit saddening that it was just a singular boss battle throughout, which I can’t tell if the boss just lasts through the entire song or if it can actually die midway.

To which, if it dies midway, what happens then? A lot of empty until the end of the song? A respawn? The song ends prematurely?

What about linking songs in a playlist to play through them all like stages and the ability to loop songs or maybe pause the game, insert a new song in the playlist and continue?

So much potential, but so much more needed to be known. I must do some more research on the matter… after I’m done eating my burger.

  • They will probably see how it does first before exapnding on it.
