No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise Possibly Coming This May

By Ishaan . March 9, 2011 . 4:00pm

Earlier in the year, we reported that Konami would be publishing No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise in the U.S. in 2011 for the PlayStation 3 with added content. Thanks to a Siliconera reader who works at EB Games, we now have a tentative release date.

Our EB insider reports that No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise is listed for a May 2nd release. Looking at Gamestop’s online listing yields a similar date: May 1st. As always, these dates aren’t set in stone and could change, but Heroes’ Paradise is definitely on its way over.

Konami have updated the localized version of the game with PlayStation Move support and by adding select bosses to fight from No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

A big thanks and Strawberry on the Shortcake to our friend at EB Games!

    Hmm… Sounds sexy.

  • Dude I have to sell my family if I want to buy every great game this year…which I naturally would do for such great games!

    • Not if EA kidnaps them first, lol.

But I really can’t wait for this!

  • PrinceHeir

yes since there are few Summer games this is perfect :D

i already have the japanese version but will get this for sure :P

im glad it’s coming, as long as the loading times are improved bring it on ^^

i just want No More Heroes 2 Paradise(same features as the 1st paradise; very sweet mode, gallery, dual audio and all) and everything will be perfect :P

this along with No More Heroes 2 Paradise, MGS Rising, games like Red Steel 2, Madworld, RE Lightgun games are one of the reasons to buy a Move :)

    • For me, it was Dead Space Extraction that made it worth it for me. I love light gun games and one with a story was a new experience for me. Especially one where you had to be precise about the shooting, since only dismemberment works in most cases.

  • Whenever it is, it will be a first day purchase for me. I will even give this a try with the Move controls, although the plan currently is to just use the Dual Shock.

  • Phoenix_Apollo

Ah, not for 360 too? Aww.

  • Should be fun.

  • Barrit

Loved playing it on the Wii and look forward to it on PS3. This is probably the game to get me to buy the Move. If only they’d have a Move/NMH bundle, that’d be awesome. Move controllers that look like his lightsaber please!

    • Same here, when this game drops, I buy a Move.

  • Natat

Loved this game on the Wii, will love it on the PS3!

  • Code

rar, looking forward to it >w<; No More Heroes I think is by the definition an "instant classic", I'm looking forward to hear what the additional content will be.

  • kroufonz

this game could probably make me finally get MOVE

  • I was starting to think this was a joke.

Hurray for enhanced port and not remake. You guys are learning! =P
If only everyone else would start using the correct terms.

  • Sort of conflicted here. I’ve got both NMH 1 and 2 for the Wii. I don’t mind the looks of the remake, but I don’t know if I’d buy the port simply because it’s improved on graphics and has bosses from number 2 involved as well. I suppose it’s a great opportunity for those to play this great game who don’t have a Wii and have a PS3.

    • I agree, I have both games for the Wii and are great fun. I have yet to purchase the Move for PS3 and great as No More Heroes is, I’m still waiting for that killer game to make me purchase Move sooner rather than later. (maybe MGS Rising can do it?)

      • Yeah. If you do own a PS3 and you’ve never played NMH on the Wii, then this a game you ought to play. In regards to MGS Rising, hell yes!

I have both games for the Wii and I’m still buying this one. Why? I love the NMH franchise and want to show my support, plus it’s a really really fun game.

      • I suppose. If you find that you’ll enjoy the experience again, then by all means. I agree that it’s a fun game, but I don’t think I’ll be buying it. I’m quite satisfied with the original.

“Don’t mind the looks of the remake”
“Don’t know if I’d buy the port”

      • Is there something you don’t understand about liking the graphic improvement of the port, but leaning towards no to buying it simply because of improved graphics and bosses I’ll get to fight from NMH 2? I did say I was conflicted on this matter.

        • GamerKT

He’s wondering why you called the game both a remake and a port in the same sentence… Because remakes =/= ports.

Strawberry on the Shortcake is cool and all, but I think I like Cranberry Chocolate Sundae more.

  • Great box art

  • Which do I choose.. Exams or No More Heroes?
