Tomy’s Naruto 3DS Game Is Being Localized…In Europe

By Ishaan . March 9, 2011 . 11:32am

Well, that didn’t take long at all. The game isn’t even out in Japan yet, and already we have confirmation that Tomy’s Naruto Shippuden: Nin-rittai Emake! Saikyou Ninkai Kessen on the Nintendo 3DS will be seeing a localized release…but only in Europe for now.

Saikyou Ninkai Kaisen is being brought overseas by U.K. publisher, 505 Games, who have dubbed the title “Naruto Shippuden 3D – The New Era.” 505 Games say that Naruto Shippuden 3D – The New Era will be published sometime during 2011.

The New Era features a new female character by the name of Malice. It also allows you to transform into Naruto’s “Sage mode” once his special gauge is completely charged. Interestingly, 505 also say that the game will make use of the 3DS’ “motion controls” in certain situations, like dodging certain attacks and during boss fights.

Aside from unlockables found during the course of the game, 505 will be distributing “Sharingan codes” as well (QR Codes perhaps?), which you’ll need to detect with the Nintendo 3DS camera to unlock in-game items and characters.

  • Much more interested in Unlimited Cruise 3DS getting an EU release(Marineford arc in gaming form would be awesome), this looks to be a fairly bland platformer.

  • Meh, surely it will come to the US soon, and sell more than any other game that took at least 10 times more effort to make…

Although….The fact that there will be a 3D hinata is tempting enough T-T

    • M’iau M’iaut

Ya but the low res and small screen will limit the impact of any panty shot as she jumps and spins through the air.

      • Hinata doesnt use skirt though xD

  • I see that coming….

  • Aara_Malik_Davoodi

I guess this will follow suit as OP: Unlimited Cruise and will come to America if it does well in Europe

  • ToSeektheChosen

Imagine what Tsuna would say: “I can’t wait to play this aweomanlly phenomally awesome game.”

    • You forgot “epically”.

      • M’iau M’iaut

If we are going to tip our caps to the man, lets get it right!

      • SolidusSnake

Remember the one where someone refused to believe that naruto and sasuke were epically phewomanly HD and awesome and to prove that they were, indeed, epically awesome he posted a borderline yaoi pic of them clutching onto each other while dressed in very effeminate clothing?

        • M’iau M’iaut

You mean there remain folks out there expecting those two to end up with someone besides each other?

  • Whoomp

Not that this particular title interest me much but it is kinda sad that you can’t respond to these news with a snappy “just import it” when it comes to 3DS (which is a first for handheld consoles irc).

    • :/ Sorry, buddy. The 3DS is gonna be region locked.

      • Whoomp

        Yes? Hence my comment…

  • Well, considering that “Ultimate Ninja Storm 2” had its highest sales precisely in Europe, this is not surprising.

In any case, I don’t think it will be long before they announce it for America too.

    • Yeah, thanks to French people ! :D NUNS 2 was really good but this one on 3DS seems to be as good as Dragon Blade Chronicles on Wii… :(

  • Natat

Meh… not really interested on this one. What is more surprising is Tsuna not being here yet.

  • “Well, that didn’t take long at all. The game isn’t even out in Japan yet, and already we have confirmation that Tomy’s Naruto Shippuden: Nin-rittai Emake! Saikyou Ninkai Kessen on the Nintendo 3DS will be seeing a localized release…”

That’s how I like my localization announcements.

  • Mischah

Hmmm, I’d rather they localise Radiant Historia in Europe…

  • Ugh, really not looking foward to motion controls on the 3DS. It’s impossible to shake the system and keep the 3D effect.

Nice to see it’s getting an English release but sucks for American fans, the region lock on the 3DS is such a huge kick in the balls. Thankfully i’ll have a EU and JAP one (partner has JAP one)

More interested in Unlimited cruise as abigsmurf as also said, that looks like a much better game.

  • “…In Europe”

The hate is getting ridiculous. CRY MOAR

    • There’s no hate here. Anger moar?

      • Yeah the author doesn’t really seem disapointed by the (good) news. And all the hate on the comments in the several articles about the collectors editions of some Square PSP games isn’t there.

Tip : you really shouldn’t assume that all of your readers are from the USA.

        • SolidusSnake

No, the author doesn’t seem disappointed at all, did you even read the article or just the title? Besides, you can’t blame the author of this article for some guys bitching in the comments. Mellow out, asshole.

        • We don’t assume that, in fact we post European announcements for readers in PAL territories as well.

I don’t think you’re contributing anything here, just riling up the comments. Thanks for not doing that in the future :)
