The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D Rides Into Stores On June 19

By Spencer . April 12, 2011 . 5:31am

Line Attack Heroes developer Grezzo must be close to finishing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D because Nintendo just set a date for it. Link’s time twisting journey comes to Nintendo 3DS on June 19.

On top of 3D graphics (there are a lot of floating particle effects), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D utilizes makes use of the handheld’s gyro sensor as a way to target enemies with the slingshot. It’s an optional feature, though. You can still aim with the analog stick if that’s what you prefer.

Perhaps, the most helpful feature is the touch screen inventory system. It makes changing Link’s equipment much less cumbersome. This version of the game also includes rearranged Master Quest with tougher dungeons.

  • The time to get a 3DS is close

    • cmurph666

My time comes with Mega Man Legends 3.

      • Let’s hope CAPCOM doesnt freaking cancel that game T.T

  • Exkaiser

I’d say the Master Quest dungeons are the biggest draw for me. I never did get around to playing Ura Zelda.

    • xflame10

      who did????!!!!

      • Exkaiser

Uh, anyone who bought the Master Quest disc for the Gamecube, I guess?

A whole bunch of people I know had that.

  • I had this on the 64, I’ve got it on the Virtual Console and I have every intention of getting it for the 3DS! A classic from my childhood in 3D, do love!

  • Am I really the only one here who has never played a single Zelda game?

    • DOOD !? Wake up^^

    • Nah, i know a lot of people that never got a N64 so they didnt lived that beautiful experience back then T.T…

Havent you played even a GBA one? o.0

      • I have both N64 and GBA SP but I never got any Zelda games for them.

        • Sucks, you should try oracle of season/ages, they are great, and minish cap was good too, and…

Ahh, well, this is a good place to start, if you can, get this remake >80, and come to the triforce side… muahaha

        • What made you never want to pick up a Zelda game?

    • I hope you played some games that took a lot of elements from Zelda though: Landstalker, Beyond Oasis, Alundra, Crusader of Centy, to name a few.

    • Tom_Phoenix

If nothing else, at least give A Link to the Past a try. The gameplay is excellent and it has aged very well.

    • I’ve played two Game Boy ones and the Minish Cap one, but that’s it. I’m almost thinking about grabbing this because my best friend swears Ocarina of Time is the best one.

  • Is that release date for the US or Japan?

  • Can’t wait to ride Epona, the shop looks amazing.

  • Welp, now it’s even more imperative that I get a 3DS sooner than later.

  • Aiddon

Interestingly the game is actually being done by Grezzo Inc, the company run by Koichi Ishii (creator of the Mana games)

  • karasuKumo

I’ll probably get this with a 3DS in the far future :P I hope they’ll do a special bundle with a gold/triforce 3DS. That would be lovely :)

  • when will this game be in singapore local stores?!
