Dungeon Siege III was originally scheduled to release at the end of this month, but Square Enix delayed the co-op RPG to June 21st. Speaking of co-op, they released a new co-op trailer today:

The cooperative play in Dungeon Siege III is inspired by the Lego games. Co-op players can drop in and out at any time, and if they put the controller down, the AI will take over a minute or so later. You can read more about how co-op works here.

I was hoping for more like Diablo II, and less like Fable for mutliplayer.

I love me some co-op hack-n-slashers, but Obsidian’s recent hand in Fallout: New Vegas makes me think to stay away from this game for a while.

Sort of a sad state of affairs when consumers don’t want to bother with products because of a company’s QA reputation.

  • Have to say, the trailers for this game have been put together very poorly. If you look at the general gameplay footage videos, it looks very promising. I guess they are rushing the marketing this close to release.
